Hard to
separate these two sides? Both great early 70's
dancers with the awesome vocals of Barbara Stant
always at the fore. Loads of strings on this one
with Barbara's Southern Soul undertones shining through too.
The owner of the Shiptown
label repressed lookalike copies of each of these
45's a couple of years ago. There was some
controversy at the time as many thought they were
the actual originals and they started changing hands
for silly money! (Originals of both these 45's
are worth over £250 each!) Thankfully the real story
came out and now we are left with copies that can be
sold for an acceptable amount as bona-fide reissues.
We've managed to get our hands on a handful of each
but in the words of the old cliché, when they're
gone they're gone! Have a listen to the quality of
all 4 sides and be prepared to hit the 'PayPal'

THE epitome of Crossover Soul! Early 70's
records like this were at the
vanguard of the crossover soul movement of the late

record deserved reactivation it's this one! Quite capable of
being spun in the Northern Soul rooms as a thinking man's
